美人的姿態，向來都是歷久不衰的畫題，浮世繪題材中，最早出現的美人繪，更營造了獨樹一格的唯美世界。這些來自民間的浮世繪畫師，從市井生活中找尋靈感，將女子風雅的姿態，轉化為理想的美人形象。興盛三百多年的浮世繪，歷經江戶、明治、大正時期，每個時代對於美人也有著不同的見解：江戶時代衣著華麗的貴族藝妓、明治時代獨立出遊的文藝女子、大正時代女學生們青春身影；浮世繪中的女子形象，從供人欣賞，到呈現自我個性，在不同時代畫師的詮釋下，紀錄了近代女權意識的發展。這些浮世繪美人們的一瞬回眸，即使經歷了數百年，至今依然是藝術史上最嬌豔動人的一刻。

Beautiful woman has always been the popular topic for Arts. As the earliest appearances issue of Ukiyo-e, those masters created a unique world of beauty. In the following three hundred years develop, painters were not only showing the technique to drew beautiful figure, but also recorded the progressive of women’s right. Even in modern times, those pretty girl in the Ukiyo-e, their smile still are the most glamorous in the art history.
